Malia's first soccer game

Malia's first soccer game was today. She did great. She loved it, as you can tell from the big smile on her face in the pictures. The score was 0 to 0. It was fun and pretty amusing to watch.

Easter Morning

We had so much fun in Payson!! We went up on Sunday and came back on Wednesday. We had such a great time relaxing in the beautiful cool weather and the fresh air. We had a long drive since the road was closed, but we were able to see lots of beautiful things we don't normally see. It made us appreciate even more the beautiful earth that God created for us. The wildflowers were blooming and the colors were beautiful and so were the mountains and the lake.

Loegan stayed with Grandpa and Grandma after Malia and I left. As you can see, he was busy. Actually, he was. He sanded and painted the rail on Grandpa and Grandma's porch. He did a great job! He was a big help and had a lot of fun! Thank you Grandpa and Grandma for letting him stay and for showing him such a fun time! We really miss him, but, it was nice for him to be able to spend some extra time with Grandpa and Grandma. I'm so proud of my buddy boy.

Easter Fun

We had a great time celebrating Easter with our cousins on the Saturday before Easter. The pic on the bottom is Malia giving some of her eggs to her cousin, Caysie. Such a sweet girl.

Glasses - who knew they would be so exciting?

Well, Malia finally got her glasses, just in time for Easter!! Here's pics.

Spring Break has officially begun!!

They are so excited to start Spring Break. We have some really exciting plans. They worked really hard and got all of their required courses done early....So Spring Break is starting now. We're gonna have such a fun time. Hopefully, I'll remember my camera and take lots of pics at all of our fun activities.

Yesterday, at Malia's 2nd soccer practice, Loegan was such a big help. He did a great job catching run-away balls and entertaining younger siblings who wanted to play on the soccer field. He also enjoyed climbing a really cool tree. I promise to take pics next week and post them.

Malia did great at her practice. I think she will do really well in soccer, as long as she remembers to go after the ball and not socialize on the field. Next Wednesday, we'll get her schedule for games and uniforms. She's hoping for purple uniforms. More later.

The Final Assignment

Here's Loegan working on his final assignment. He's a great artist, just like his Dad. I have absolutely no skill in art, but I still love to attempt it.

Don't you love the hair? I love that we don't have to fix hair, get dressed, pack a back pack and lunch or even brush teeth before we start school. It's so cool! We are so blessed!!

Well, the last few days have probably been the longest few days of Malia's life. Every day, several times a day, she asks when her glasses will be here. She is so excited to have them. I hope the excitement doesn't wear off after she's had them for a while.

The last few weeks have been filled with a mixture of days of struggles with school and really good days. Loegan is adjusting to his new meds and they seem to be working much better. I noticed though that he has been staying up really late reading. I love that he loves to read and we've been allowing him to read before he goes to sleep in bed. But, he's been reading a whole, long, chapter book at night before he goes to sleep, then getting up early and then he really struggles with focusing with school work. So, we've had to change the rules and not allow him to read at night in bed. He did much better today. He asked God to help him focus. God is so faithful and helped him get his work done much better. It is such a blessing to have both of my kids love reading so much. Malia is progressing so fast and is reading really well. She loves to read. Loegan really struggled with reading when he was in Kindergarten and 1st grade. We are so blessed to have such a wonderful school program that makes learning to read so easy, fun and exciting!!

Science Center and Moms 2 Moms

We went to the Science Center last night for a school trip. It was a really nice time together as a family. We had a wonderful, memorable time. Here are pics of Malia and Loegan on the spinning thing. They both got really dizzy. It was hilarious. They also loved the Dinosaur exhibit. There were lots of fun and interesting displays and activities. It was also exhausting (for James and I), but such a fun and enjoyable time!

This morning we went to the first Moms 2 Moms group at church. It was so wonderful!!! We are so blessed to be a part of this church. The Lord has been so gracious to put these talented women in my life. I was so blessed by the wonderful words of Charlotte and our small group was awesome too. We had great conversation and some great tips for keeping the gospel as our focus as wives and mothers. God is so faithful. I am so blessed that through these women and this amazing, Christ-centered-church I am growing daily in His love and grace. Loegan and Malia had a wonderful time in their "class". They did really fun activities and brought home really fun projects. Thank you so much to the Lyts for serving in their class!! We can't wait till next month for our next meeting.

2 very busy months

I just noticed that it's been 2 months since I posted. I guess, I have been so busy with my full-time home schooling, full-time job and full-time mother and wifing, that I haven't had time to post. I promise I'll try to do better in the future. Here are some more pics. Billy is a great photographer!!

An exciting day

Today was a very exciting day. We had an eye doctor appointment. Malia was hoping she would need glasses. Luckily, she needed them. She got to try on all kinds of glasses and decided on the Barbie glasses. She is so excited and looks so cute with them. Loegan, luckily didn't need glasses, he didn't want them. He was afraid that when he ran fast, they would fall off.
After our doctor appointment, we went to Aunt Teanne and Uncle Billy's house and Loegan and Malia got to play with Will and Adalynn. We had so much fun visiting them. Billy and Teanne worked on the photos Billy took of us a few days ago of our family. I was so excited to get them. Here they are.
