Crafty clock

Here's a picture of the clock I made the other day. I'm having a pink and brown obsession lately. Since I'm not very talented in the crafty area, but love crafting so much, I was excited to see that my clock actually looks pretty good.

Dawn, who's the manager of the As You Wish, had the idea that we could get a group together sometime after church or any other time and she could bring the painting party to us. Sounds like fun!!! Fishing with Dad

We had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend. I hope you did too! On Saturday morning, James took Loegan fishing. It was cold and rainy. They had such a good time! Loegan caught a fish. It was really small, but to him, it was larger than life. Malia and I went to breakfast and to Target to shop for Adalynn's birthday. We had so much fun having girl time!!

James took Malia fishing on Monday. They had a really fun time also. She didn't catch anything, but she still had a blast!!

I got to go and have a nice time alone and paint pottery on Monday night. It was so lovely and therapeutic. I love to go with my kids and paint (or do anything else for that matter). But, once in a while a Mom needs to go and enjoy something by herself. Father's Day is coming up, so I used that as an opportunity to paint something useful. Shhh! Don't tell! I took my MP3 player and listened to some awesome music and amazing sermons that we missed while teaching in children's ministry. It was so fun!

Who could ask for a better birthday present?

Today, is my 32nd birthday. God has given me a wonderful birthday present with the cool weather and the rain. He knows that anyone who is an Arizona native for 32 years would love rain and 50 degree weather at the end of May. This is unheard of. Oh, I love it sooo much!!! We have all of the doors open, the kids are wearing their winter coats and I'm in shorts and a t-shirt loving the cool breeze and the smell of fresh, clean air. Mmmmmm. My favorite. Thank you God, you know just what I want!

My sweet Mom emailed me the nicest email this morning. My brother sent me a birthday wish text. My Dad called and said some really special things. My sister called me and posted a really sweet message to me on her blog. http://www.fenterfamily.blogspot.com/. Thank you God for giving me such an amazing, loving, beautiful family. I treasure them always, but especially at times like this when their sweetness shines especially bright. Thank you all of the members of my family for your thoughtfullness and love you've shown me. It means so much!!

My two kids are so thoughtful. This morning, before I got up, they made lots of hand made birthday cards for me and put them all over the house. They are so special and loving. Thank you God for giving me my two most treasured gifts. I am so undeserving of such special gifts.

Today, especially, I realize how truly blessed I am!!

Malia's last soccer game

Wow, it's been a while since I posted. It's been a busy few weeks and then I was really sick the last few days. So, now I'll try to catch up on what's been going on here at our house.

Malia had her last soccer game last Saturday. What a great team we had!! We didn't win very many games, but, they didn't care. It was a really good group of kids and parents and a really wonderful coach! Thank you to all of them for making it a great season! We had a really fun party after her last game. Here's some pics.

What was I doing 10 years ago?
Well, at this time 10 years ago, I was on my honeymoon in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. Maybe I was in one of the natural hot springs right at this very moment. Wow, they really stink, but they make your skin feel oh, so, nice.

5 things on my To-Do List:
1. Get done with school with Loegan and Malia.
2. Get through with the computer conversion at work. (they are making it seem like a really big deal) May will be a busy month for work with required overtime, etc.
3. Get my house cleaned up. I would love to be able to clean out closets and get rid of lots of stuff that we never use. There will be lots of trips to Goodwill and the dump.
4. Find a place for Loegan and Malia to stay for July 14 through July 18 while I am on the Missions trip in Phoenix.
5. Survive the summer and the heat and have a fun time with my kids doing different activities.

2. Ice cream (especially anything with nuts)

4. Hot apple pie and ice cream (ok, that's not really a snack , it's more like desert, but, I love it)

What would I do if I were suddenly a billionaire?
Hmmm.... Well, I would be able to quit my job and just be a mom and teacher!! I would give money to our church to help spread the gospel. Now that I don't have a job and money isn't an option , I would love to go on the misisons trips to Mexico and Bolivia!! Whoo Hoo!!! I would buy us a house and cars that would be reliable and not need repairs frequently, but not anything fancy. Then, I would be able to concentrate on my children and their hearts and my family. I would put money aside for college funds for the kids. I would pay off our debts and pay money back (x10) to those who have lent us money and not asked for a repayment - (Thank you!). I would give money to family and friends who need anything. I would love to surpise people with gifts and/or money when they really need something special. That would be so fun!!

1. Waitress at a Mexican resturant and an Italian resturant.
2. Cashier at Grocery store.
3. Receptionist at an Attorney's office
4. Receptionist and then secretary at a medical office.
5. Health Unit Secretary at the Hospital (2 different hospitals)

What are 5 things you don't know about me?
1. When I lived on the reservation, I was prejudiced against white people. (Most of the white people who lived on the res were snooty and rude to the Navajo people, even though they're living on their land, etc.)
2. When I lived on the reservation, I had a very strong Navajo accent. You wouldn't even know you were talking to a white girl, unless you saw my flourescent, pale, white skin.
3. After I graduated high school, I was really into cars. I had a car that I raced, showed in car shows and had a really good sound system. It was so low, you could barely get your foot under it. I got stuck on speed bumps a few times.
4. Six years ago, after trying really hard all my life to grow my hair long , I got 21 3/4 inches cut off and donated it to locks of love.
5. With both of my kids I was put on complete bed rest. It was for 8 weeks with one and for 11 weeks with the other one. I don't remember which was which. I just know that it was so hard to be on bedrest with a 2 year-old running around.

Wow, that ended up being really long. So, now, I guess I'm supposed to tag 3 people?
